Fruitful

The Dogs entered an international contest in which we were challenged to share a vision of the end of the world. Eschewing the normal fare of floods and zombies, we chose instead to ask the question, what if the world had ended before it really began?

Left Turn

Making of Left Turn

Our film troupe, DC Dogs, participated in the 48 Hour Film competition, August 14-16, 2009 in Miami. The cast and crew flew in from New York, DC and Philadelphia with minimal equipment and no script.

This is a 3-minute “Making of…” video. By the way, the loaf of bread was a required prop in all 30 films made that weekend in Miami. The music is called “Flowers,” written and performed by Rich O’Meara and Carlos Garza as Silent Orchestra.

Left Turn ♦

High from our victory in Baltimore, the Dogs packed up and went to Miami to enter the 48 Hour Film competition there. We drew Sci Fi as our genre so with a bit of a nod to Robocop, we produced “Left Turn.” For the camera geeks, it was shot on the Canon 5D Mark II in 1080p and this is the first time, we produced all the way through at that resolution.

Sketches Poster Shoot

Photographer and DC Dog Jonathan Zuck, once again lent his photographic skills to a poster shoot, this time for the band The Sketches. The concept was a young artist painting a mural on a brick wall that comes to life.
