DC Dogs were asked to create a film in homage to a photograph by Laurie Simmons entitled “Walking House.” It screened at the Baltimore Museum of Art as part of an exhibition of Laurie’s work.
The Dogs entered an international contest in which we were challenged to share a vision of the end of the world. Eschewing the normal fare of floods and zombies, we chose instead to ask the question, what if the world had ended before it really began?

Mr. Joy is the story of how a bunch of kids in detention come together to prove that the aphorisms of the guidance counselor just don’t hold water. Written and directed by kids as part of our Movie Camp program!
